يتميز هذا النظام بمقصات علوية (Control Arm) مزودة بمفصل Delta Joint الحاصل على براءة اختراع من ICON. Delta Joint هو كرة مقص (Ball Joint) شديدة التحمل بزاوية حركة عالية، يجمع بين متانة كرة المقص وخصائص أداء الـ Uniball التقليدي.
ورغم أن الـ Uniball المعتمد كمعيار في الصناعة يؤدي عملاً ممتازاً في السماح لمقصات السيارة بالحركة بأقل قدر من التقييد، إلا أن به نقطة ضعف أساسية تجعله دون المستوى المطلوب في الاستخدام اليومي، وهي تعرّضه للعوامل الخارجية.
يتميز Delta Joint بغلاف مطلي بالزنك يوفر الطبقة الأولى من مقاومة التآكل، بينما يمنع مانع تسريب الشحم المتين العناصر الضارة من الوصول إلى الأجزاء الداخلية للمفصل. ويزيد البناء المعدني على المعدني والتصميم القابل للتشحيم من عمر Delta Joint، مع ضمان تشغيل خالٍ من الضوضاء في الوقت نفسه.
وما يجعل Delta Joint فريداً هو أنه يمنح مقصات ICON العلوية أفضل ما في العالمين، بمزايا تجعله أكثر متانة من الـ Uniball، وقادراً في الوقت نفسه على زاوية حركة أكبر من كرة المقص التقليدية.
تتطلب GM 2500HD / 3500HD موديلات 2001-2010 تخميداً كبيراً من المساعدات لمجاراة معدل الصلابة الهائل لنظام عمود الالتواء (Torsion Bar) الأصلي. طوّرت ICON Vehicle Dynamics مجموعة من أنظمة التعليق بتخميد مساعدات محسّن ومخصص لكل سيارة. توفر هذه الأنظمة قيادة ممتازة على الطرق المعبدة والوعرة.
سواء كنت تقود في موقع البناء أو على المسارات الوعرة نحو موقعك المفضل لقيادة الدراجات الترابية، تريدك ICON أن تصل براحة تماماً كما في طريقك إلى العمل. يتكون نظام Stage 2 من ICON من مساعدات أمامية V.S. 2.0 Aluminum Series بمكبس عائم (IFP)، ومقصات علوية (UCA) بوصلات Delta Joint، ومساعدات خلفية 2.0 Aluminum Series بمكبس عائم (IFP).

01-10 GM 2500HD/3500 0-2" STAGE 2 SUSPENSION SYSTEM
This system features upper control arms with ICON's patented Delta Joint. The Delta Joint is a heavy-duty high angle ball joint that combines the durability of a ball joint with the performance characteristics of a traditional uniball.
While the industry standard uniball does a great job of allowing the control arms of a vehicle to articulate with little bind, they do have an inherent weakness that leaves more to be desired when used in a daily driven application - exposure to the elements.
The Delta Joint features a zinc plated housing providing the first layer of corrosion resistance, while a tough grease seal keeps potentially harmful elements out of the inner workings of the joint. Metal on metal construction and a greaseable design increase the longevity of the Delta Joint while at the same time allowing for noise-free operation.
What makes the Delta Joint unique is that it brings the best of both worlds to ICON upper control arms with features that make it more robust than a uniball, and at the same time capable of greater angularity than a typical ball joint.
The 2001-2010 GM 2500HD / 3500HD requires significant shock damping to comply with the massive spring rate of the factory torsion bar system. ICON Vehicle Dynamics has developed a range of suspension systems with optimized vehicle specific shock damping. These systems offer excellent on and off-road drivability.
While driving the construction site or trails to your favorite dirt bike location, ICON wants you to get there in comfort just like your drive to work. ICON's Stage 2 system is comprised of V.S. 2.0 Aluminum Series IFP front shocks, Delta Joint UCA's and 2.0 Aluminum Series IFP rear shocks.
The ICON vehicle specific tuned shocks are the key to attaining optimum ride quality and getting that desired comfort with the 3/4 & 1-ton working capability.
