يتميز هذا النظام بمقصات علوية (Control Arm) مزودة بمفصل Delta Joint الحاصل على براءة اختراع من ICON. Delta Joint هو كرة مقص (Ball Joint) شديدة التحمل بزاوية حركة عالية، يجمع بين متانة كرة المقص وخصائص أداء الـ Uniball التقليدي.
ورغم أن الـ Uniball المعتمد كمعيار في الصناعة يؤدي عملاً ممتازاً في السماح لمقصات السيارة بالحركة بأقل قدر من التقييد، إلا أن به نقطة ضعف أساسية تجعله دون المستوى المطلوب في الاستخدام اليومي، وهي تعرّضه للعوامل الخارجية.
يتميز Delta Joint بغلاف مطلي بالزنك يوفر الطبقة الأولى من مقاومة التآكل، بينما يمنع مانع تسريب الشحم المتين العناصر الضارة من الوصول إلى الأجزاء الداخلية للمفصل. ويزيد البناء المعدني على المعدني والتصميم القابل للتشحيم من عمر Delta Joint، مع ضمان تشغيل خالٍ من الضوضاء في الوقت نفسه.
وما يجعل Delta Joint فريداً هو أنه يمنح مقصات ICON العلوية أفضل ما في العالمين، بمزايا تجعله أكثر متانة من الـ Uniball، وقادراً في الوقت نفسه على زاوية حركة أكبر من كرة المقص التقليدية.
صُممت أنظمة التعليق من ICON Vehicle Dynamics لـ Dodge Ram 1500 4WD مع وضع أقصى أداء والسائق الجاد في الاعتبار. ينصبّ تركيز مهندسي ICON بالدرجة الأولى على زيادة مدى حركة العجلات وقدرة التخميد، وهو ما ينعكس على تحكم ممتاز بالمركبة وجودة قيادة عالية على الطرق المعبدة وخارجها.
يتضمن هذا النظام مساعدات كويل أوفر مقاس 2.5” معايرة خصيصاً للمركبة ومزودة بخزانات داخلية لخصائص تبريد استثنائية، وسوست (Coil Springs) من Eibach مصممة بهندسة ICON لإحساس قيادة متفوق طوال مدى الحركة. كما أن مساعدات الكويل أوفر هذه قابلة لتعديل الارتفاع من .75-2.5” من الرفع فوق الارتفاع الأصلي، مما يتيح استخدام تركيبات أكبر وأكثر جرأة من الجنوط والإطارات.

This system features upper control arms with ICON's patented Delta Joint. The Delta Joint is a heavy-duty high angle ball joint that combines the durability of a ball joint with the performance characteristics of a traditional uniball.
While the industry standard uniball does a great job of allowing the control arms of a vehicle to articulate with little bind, they do have an inherent weakness that leaves more to be desired when used in a daily driven application - exposure to the elements.
The Delta Joint features a zinc plated housing providing the first layer of corrosion resistance, while a tough grease seal keeps potentially harmful elements out of the inner workings of the joint. Metal on metal construction and a greasable design increase the longevity of the Delta Joint while at the same time allowing for noise-free operation.
What makes the Delta Joint unique is that it brings the best of both worlds to ICON upper control arms with features that make it more robust than a uniball, and at the same time capable of greater angularity than a typical ball joint.
ICON Vehicle Dynamics Dodge Ram 1500 4WD suspension systems are designed with maximum performance and the serious driver in mind. ICON engineers’ primary focus is to increase wheel travel and damping ability, which translates into outstanding vehicle control and ride quality both on and off-road.
This system includes vehicle-specific tuned 2.5” coilover shocks featuring internal reservoirs for exceptional cooling properties and ICON-engineered Eibach coil springs for superior vehicle “feel” through the range of travel. These coilovers are also height adjustable from .75-2.5” of lift over stock allowing the use of larger, more aggressive wheel and tire combinations.
ICON 2.5 Aluminum Series rear shocks utilize a vehicle-specific valving that balances the performance of the truck from front to rear. The ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2009-2018 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD Stage 4 suspension system is an excellent choice for those drivers looking to enhance the capabilities of their pickup on the road as well as in the dirt.
