صُممت أنظمة التعليق من ICON Vehicle Dynamics لـ Dodge Ram 1500 مع وضع أقصى أداء والسائق الجاد في الاعتبار. ينصبّ تركيز مهندسي ICON بالدرجة الأولى على زيادة مدى حركة العجلات وقدرة التخميد، وهو ما ينعكس على تحكم ممتاز بالمركبة وجودة قيادة عالية على الطرق المعبدة وخارجها.
يتضمن نظام Stage 4 مساعدات كويل أوفر مقاس 2.5” معايرة خصيصاً للمركبة ومزودة بخزان داخلي لخصائص تبريد استثنائية، وسوست (Coil Springs) مصممة بهندسة ICON لإحساس قيادة متفوق طوال مدى الحركة. كما أن مساعدات الكويل أوفر هذه قابلة لتعديل الارتفاع من 0-1.5” من الرفع فوق الارتفاع الأصلي، مما يتيح استخدام تركيبات أكبر وأكثر جرأة من الجنوط والإطارات.

يتميز هذا النظام بمقصات علوية (Control Arm) مزودة بمفصل Delta Joint الحاصل على براءة اختراع من ICON. Delta Joint هو كرة مقص (Ball Joint) شديدة التحمل بزاوية حركة عالية، يجمع بين متانة كرة المقص وخصائص أداء الـ Uniball التقليدي.
ورغم أن الـ Uniball المعتمد كمعيار في الصناعة يؤدي عملاً ممتازاً في السماح لمقصات السيارة بالحركة بأقل قدر من التقييد، إلا أن به نقطة ضعف أساسية تجعله دون المستوى المطلوب في الاستخدام اليومي، وهي تعرّضه للعوامل الخارجية.
يتميز Delta Joint بغلاف مطلي بالزنك يوفر الطبقة الأولى من مقاومة التآكل، بينما يمنع مانع تسريب الشحم المتين العناصر الضارة من الوصول إلى الأجزاء الداخلية للمفصل. ويزيد البناء المعدني على المعدني والتصميم القابل للتشحيم من عمر Delta Joint، مع ضمان تشغيل خالٍ من الضوضاء في الوقت نفسه.
وما يجعل Delta Joint فريداً هو أنه يمنح مقصات ICON العلوية أفضل ما في العالمين، بمزايا تجعله أكثر متانة من الـ Uniball، وقادراً في الوقت نفسه على زاوية حركة أكبر من كرة المقص التقليدية.

ICON Vehicle Dynamics Dodge Ram 1500 suspension systems are designed with maximum performance and the serious driver in mind. ICON engineers’ primary focus is to increase wheel travel and damping ability, which translates into outstanding vehicle control and ride quality both on and off-road.
The Stage 4 system includes vehicle-specific tuned 2.5” coilover shocks featuring an internal reservoir for exceptional cooling properties and ICON-engineered coil springs for superior vehicle “feel” through the range of travel. These coilovers are also height adjustable from 0-1.5” of lift over stock, allowing the use of larger, more aggressive wheel and tire combinations.
ICON’s tubular steel upper control arms with Delta Joints are included for additional strength and improved suspension geometry for more predictable handling. ICON 2.5 Aluminum Series piggyback reservoir rear shocks paired with 1.5" lift, dual rate rear coil springs balance the performance of the truck from front to rear.

This system features upper control arms with ICON's patented Delta Joint. The Delta Joint is a heavy-duty high angle ball joint that combines the durability of a ball joint with the performance characteristics of a traditional uniball.
While the industry standard uniball does a great job of allowing the control arms of a vehicle to articulate with little bind, they do have an inherent weakness that leaves more to be desired when used in a daily driven application - exposure to the elements.
The Delta Joint features a zinc plated housing providing the first layer of corrosion resistance, while a tough grease seal keeps potentially harmful elements out of the inner workings of the joint. Metal on metal construction and a greaseable design increase the longevity of the Delta Joint while at the same time allowing for noise-free operation.
What makes the Delta Joint unique is that it brings the best of both worlds to ICON upper control arms with features that make it more robust than a uniball, and at the same time capable of greater angularity than a typical ball joint.
With several changes being made to the 2019 RAM 1500 platform including an all-new frame, increased chassis rigidity, and a lighter overall weight, ICON’s R&D department went above and beyond to make sure the new RAM truck was properly analyzed.
With these changes made by the factory, the development of new ICON rear shocks (and revised front coilover tuning) was necessary to optimize fitment and performance on this new platform.
